He’s used to fighting fires.
She’s running from the heat.
Only time will tell what the future holds when they’re finally out of the woods.

Break-ups. They’re the worst. Especially when you’re a plus-size model who just landed her first major campaign and your ex is the lead singer of a band with the No. 1 song in the world. Oh, and if having to deal with a cheating boyfriend isn’t enough, a bunch of humiliating photos and screenshots are making their way all over the Internet. So now your heartbreak is public.
I want to runaway for a little while and forget everything that’s going on in my world.
I just don’t expect that wish to work out quite so literally.
After escaping to my best friend’s small Alaskan hometown, I have an accident that makes me forget everything. Including my own name and where I was supposed to be hiding out during my stay.
Luckily, there’s a rugged and handsome mountain man on hand to give me shelter. He’s the EMT who saved my life. Now that I’m hiding out in his reclusive wilderness cabin, I’m getting that R&R I was hoping for all along. Not to mention one-on-one time with a hunk who makes my toes curl.
While I may not remember who I am or the disaster that is my real life, I do know one thing: I’m falling for this man. He may be grumpy on the surface, but underneath he’s a big sweetheart. And even though he may be keeping himself distant from me, I’m certain that even if I ever regain my memories, I never want to forget him.
