Unwanted Bride by Rose Amberly
Talented wedding dress designer, Laura, knows she is doomed to never walk down the aisle herself. She will only make the dreams of other brides come true. So, when she accepts a job on the exquisite island of La Canette to make a special wedding gown, she doesn’t expect to fall in love. Not with the unusual island, not with its interfering community and certainly not with the allergic-to-marriage handsome doctor who is not only miles out of her league but also seems to dislike her. But as Laura herself has already discovered, the universe can have an evil sense of humour.

Nicely written beautiful story with some drama and angst. Both Laura and Adam had failed in love and had trust issues before meeting. Their relationship built throughout the story whilst bonding over the small islands inhabitants the Lord of the island and the wedding. The romance was very vanilla and could have benefitted with some saucy scenes but the romance was sweet and kept your interest. The end felt a little flat and rushed and needed more. The epilogue added to the story but left some of the other characters out which should have been included to round out the story but did give hope for the future of the island and its inhabitants. Nice read beautifully paced.
