The Striker by Daniela Romero

I can’t be fixed, no matter how hard he tries.
Gabriel Herrera saved my life.
He picked up all my broken pieces and tried to put me back together again.
But life doesn’t work that way.
And PacNorth’s star striker deserves more than a hot mess like me.
So, I pushed him away. I swore I didn’t love him back.
I lied right through my teeth.
It was for his own good.
Then Gabriel suggests we casually hook up. It’s a bad idea, right?
F$*k it. It’s fine.

Ok, this was SO hyped up on tiktok (I guess Savage was first, but this site doesn't have that book), so started with this one, and from the get go there were things that seemed out of place (as if there were a first book). This couple...geesh....she is a nut, then he turns into a nut, and quite honestly, I'm surprised I even finished. It had great potential, but it was just off. Not sure if I even want to try and read the 3rd book when it finally comes out.
