“You talk like this has been a bastion of professionalism up to this point.”
Jude Holland had tried. With a long-overdue promotion on the line – one that had been painfully snatched away years ago after butting heads with Theo Jordan, her design firm’s biggest client – professionalism had been part of the plan. Her boss had made her a deal, after all: design Theo a new, breathtaking restaurant, convince him to renew his contract with the firm, and the job was hers.
If only he played along.
Theo was infamous for three very specific things: he was a hot-shot young chef-turned-restaurateur, a thorn-in-your-side client, and the kind of attractive that made you wonder which kind of psychedelics the great maker was taking, when he’d created him. Not that Jude noticed. She was too busy sticking to the plan, and it helped that he was a total ass, anyway.
That is, until a steamy business trip leads to a very different deal between these enemies. One in which, sixty percent of the time, they’d indulge those funny, fluttering feelings that seem to manifest whenever they’re together. Theo would let himself stare at Jude longer than he should, and Jude would give in to her strange addiction to the feel of his skin.
The rest of the time? They’d be nothing but professional.
It doesn’t take Theo long to realize that’s easier said than done. But with a restaurant launch and a dream promotion on the line – not to mention a workplace rival hell-bent on ruining her career – Theo only has a handful of weeks to convince Jude to make that sixty percent full-time.

This one was kinda hard for me to finish. It came off as a slow burn with one of the main characters pulling away every time the two of them got close. But it was a wild ride and it ended happy. ⭐⭐'s from me.

this book is one of the best books I've ever read. I loved the intensity between the characters, the FMC best friend and how supportive she is. For me, the FMC hit too close to home, I relate to her SM and adore her and Theo so damn much. Every sunshine girl deserves her very own Theo. Loved it so much❣️
