I chuckled. “That sounds like high school drama. I’m not a fan.”
Kerry giggled. “Honey, you’re in the middle of high school drama now. You’re either in the middle of it or a spectator. You can’t get away from it around here. You’ll learn, but don’t worry, I’ve got you.”
I smiled at Kerry. She was sweet, and it was good to have someone who could show me around. It was better than roughing it on my own.
I glanced at Luke again and realized his eyes were already on me.
