The Boss' Runaway was about Locke, a pit boss at a Vegas casino, and Sissy Laughlin, a country bumpkin runaway from a Nebraska farm trying to spread her wings in the real world. The Blurb made it sound like Locke was over the age of 50, but he was actually only 35. But then, Sissy was a mere 18, about to turn 19, years old. He spanked her during her interview, and she heard "a choir singing in my head". Seriously?! Then she thought, "This man’s hand is delivering righteousness to me in sharp slaps of my buttocks while he pants and grunts above me..." ROFLMAO!! This was going too far into the surreal for me, and we weren't even through to the end of the third chapter! It was a bit uncomfortable how the MMC was a touch "holier than thou" in his attitude. He mentioned to the FMC that he had, at one point in his life, expected to become a priest but circumstances stopped him just shy of taking the vows. But that didn't make his thought process any easier to swallow, especially when his inner monologue was, "I’m going to help this abused girl. Assist her in starting a new life, finding her footing". His whole attitude was like that and apparently had been for a very long time. It made him seem a bit demented. This was so messed up, and nothing like the usual story by this author. There was so much wrong with it, I can't even begin to describe it more than I already have. Suffice it to say, I won't be awarding this anything higher than a one-star rating.

I can tolerate the word member but she used the word 'my jonathan' and that's too much for me to take seriously. I was laughing while reading a sex scene lol.
Could do without a kind of religiously motivated plot, but has cute ending.
