Will an unconventional crush lead to forever for a determined young woman and her former teacher?

ASHLEY
The moment I saw him, I knew he was the one. It was a shame a silly little thing like age got in the way. Oh, and that he was my twelfth-grade history teacher, and that sort of thing is frowned on. He never knew how hopelessly in love with him I was then. A lot has changed in the four years since I was in high school, but not my feelings for him. It’s time to show him how happy we can be together and I’m not going to let anything get in the way of my happily ever after.

CARTER
Imagine my surprise when a gorgeous younger woman approaches me. Her confidence and candor are a welcome change and instantly captivate me. Despite our age difference, we have so much in common that I can’t help thinking I’ve finally found my other half. Things are happening quickly, and everything is perfect, yet the nagging feeling that I’ve met her before lingers.
When the truth comes out, will we be able to put the past behind us, or is this the end of our connection?

Teasing the Teacher, Book 12 of the Love Unexpected series, was about 22-year-old Ashley Sinclair and 39-year-old (soon to be 40) Carter McLaughlin, a man who had been her twelfth-grade history teacher. Although Ashley had a crush on her history teacher during her senior year in high school, she never let him know about it, and she never acted on it. Five years later, she saw him again while having lunch. Side Note: Once again the author's timeline didn't quite match up. Both the blurb and the first chapter of the story stated two different things. The blurb said it had been four years since her senior year, and the book stated it had been five years, only for it to immediately change back to four years. This author was quite inconsistent with her timeline in all of her stories in this series, and this final book was no different. In the time that spanned from her senior year until the time she met up with Carter again, Ashley had gone through a major physical change. In high school, she had been a "moody goth girl" with multiple piercings. Yet the day she decided was "the day" that things were going to change between her and Carter, she was a "blonde bombshell". This was not a good way to end the series. The FMC was a bit of a douche in how she tricked the MMC into becoming her BF. For 4-5 years, she had basically stalked him, so that when "the day" she had chosen finally arrived, she had everything worked out to make him believe they were perfect for each other. She even went so far as to pretend to like some of the same things he enjoyed, just to get his attention. The MMC was a bit of a pushover and a sap-sucker just waiting to be tricked. For a man who was about to turn 40, he certainly seemed to have his head stuck in the sand when it came to relationships. The emotional rollercoaster ride was a bit boring, as was the whole story. Unfortunately, it's going to be one that I will regret reading. Therefore, I can't give it more than a half-star rating, rounded up to a single star. It just didn't deserve more. I'm certainly glad it was the final book in the series. I just don't think I could stomach another one.

The Concept was well thought out, it's a breath of fresh air to read about a female stalker for a change instead of the usual male stalker, however the writing might have been OK but the story was boring, I skipped most of it. Such a shame, it had potential.
