Winning a crown was easy, winning a queen is where the real battle begins…

ALICE: I imagine the worst when I’m abducted by ruthless alien slave traders. So when I’m taken to a handsome alien king and he tells me he is going to make me his queen I should be thrilled, right? Somehow though he turns all my emotions into overdrive, including desire and anger. Torn between the two, I unleash first one then the other.

ZAYDEN: Find a pale blonde and make her your queen or forfeit your throne, the priests decree. But resigning is out of the question after my hard-fought battle for the throne. So, I’m forced to strike an unthinkable deal with slave traders to locate the specified female. The moment I glimpse her hologram, she consumes my thoughts. She’s captivating and exotic, a species entirely new to me, and I’m eager to crown her as my queen. Unfortunately, despite our instant attraction, Alice isn’t keen on my plans, forcing me to employ all my battle strategies to conquer my reluctant queen and make her MINE.

I don't love books that yo-yo back and forth between being in the story and being /told/ a story. It breaks immersion when I get lines such as "I'd soon find out" "he would later tell me" "at the time I didn't know, but xyz", personal preference. These little adages don't add needed insight, but can be spoilers. I know it's a short HEA, very little imagination needed, but can we at least pretend. Outside of that, there was very very little to this, not much happens. Ok to as a pallet cleanser read/in-between books read.
