Although this was a short story, it wasn't too fast-paced. Well, it was and it wasn't. However, it was well-written and the storyline was easy to follow. The plot was simple in that Sasha already had his plans in place by the time Anya was ready to leave for college. Both characters were well-developed. Sasha was mature in nature but still understood that he had a lot to learn...and he was willing to do so for the woman he loved. Anya had been sheltered all her life, having been home-schooled and kept away from society by an over-protective father who had hired Sasha as her bodyguard from when she was 15 until she turned 18. Some of the things in the story seemed to be a bit farfetched, but then again, it was a work of fiction, so they were acceptable. The drama and angst were at a reasonable level, and the jealousy was a bit OTT, but fun to read. Since it was such a fun story, I gave it a four-star rating.
