I’ve survived it before, the loss of Colson Hayes.
Experienced that tingling feeling of hope off my fingertips, one that begged me to hold on for dear life, only for it to melt away.
Some people get a second chance but it was the second slap to the face by a vengeful past that always seems to sweep in and destroys us.
