Halloween isn’t my favorite holiday. A little too dark and scary for me. But when a strange call comes in asking for my famous Deep Dark Chocolate Cake and offering to pay me triple what I charge I can’t afford to pass that up.
But the biggest surprise of the night wasn’t the order. It was the giant gargoyle with a sweet tooth who showed up to pick it up. His crystal-blue eyes spark with something that lights a fire in my body that blazes in the dark of Halloween. A fire that consumes us when he takes me in his strong, rock-hard arms.
I knew monsters lived in this town but I had no idea one would steal my heart.

A curse has kept me locked in a gargoyle’s stone form except for Halloween night. It’s the one night I come alive and as soon as I wake this morning my sweet tooth kicks in. I need cake. Chocolate cake. I ask the sexy voice on the phone what their best dessert is and then order it for tonight. When she said she coudn’t do it, I offered a bonus to sweeten the pot. I’m not hurting and I’ll pay for what I want.
But as soon as I see the sexy little human baker I know what I need and it’s not cake. I’ve only got one night to win her love and break the curse to give us both a future full of hope and happiness and never-ending love.
