Being kidnapped by aliens and whisked away to another planet isn’t always a bad thing…
Meg isn’t like the other alien abduction survivors. She doesn’t missmuch of anything from her former life—least of all her deadbeat husband. Her Clecanian rescuers gave her a fresh start, and she plans to enjoy it. Being recognized as a mate is not on her agenda. Too bad a grumpy, possessive, and all-kinds-of-sexy alien has other plans for her…
Maxu never expected to find his fated mate. But he recognized Meg at first sight. Sadly, she’s not as pleased with the match as he is. She’s guarded in a way he doesn’t entirely understand and pushes him away at every turn.
Meg can run, but she soon realizes there’s nowhere to hide—not from a hunter like Maxu. But that doesn’t mean she’ll give in easily. If he wants a happily ever after with her, he’ll have to fight for it.
Good thing he’s not above playing dirty.

I liked this book one thousand times more than the last one. The serie's been decreasing in quality since Fero, who's really not the problem for me because I'm particularly more averse to the female main character of that book than him but he's part of the same issue: it lost the central plot. It was veering too far away from the main characters of the first few books and plot while everyone wanted just that. We wanted to see the clecanian cultures within the planet, to explore the political issues maintaining the character development that we love so much. This one feels like her first steps to make the series go back on track again and I'm really happy with that. If you're scared, please don't be, just read it!

Not sure what the other comment is talking about. This book is great just like the rest of the series is. The MC have their reasons for being the way they are and maybe it's not how everyone would like the MC to feel during every situation but that's the joy of books. Reading other perspectives and experiencing things differently then you normally would

The only thing I wished there was more of are Maxu's POVs, more dialog between the two main characters. The author does a wonderful job of describing the planet and making you feel fully immersed in the book but sometimes the focus seems to be almost too much on the background details where I would love more dialog between the characters.

I'm sorry but this book fell flat....I struggled to connect with the characters (I was so excited for Maxu) and their story. I think the author got lost in history.?I'm hoping really the next one will redeem the series.
