From day one, I’ve been fighting to survive.
I should have known better.
Nothing in life comes easy.
In the end I might leave a champion.
But victory has a price.
And losing Molly is more than I’m willing to pay.
Repairing the Wreckage is the conclusion of Griff and Molly’s story. Fighting the Forbidden needs to be read first.

Repairing the Wreckage, Book 2 of the Ruthless & Royal Duet, was about 18-year-old Molly Holt, a recent high school graduate, and 22-year-old Griffin "Griff" (Stonewall) Royal, an underground cage fighter.
Book 2 picked up almost immediately from where Book 1 left off: with Molly leaving. She made it to the airport before realizing the tickets cost more than she had saved. Sanity and reality slammed into her as she faced the fact she couldn't run from her pain. Whether or not Griff was a part of it, she had a life to live.
When Griff was told he had an urgent call from home, he at first thought it was regarding his mother, who was a drug addict. However, when he answered the phone, he found out it was his boss and then Remy confronted him about the episode that caused all manner of problems for Molly. At that point, Griff realized that the show he chose over his relationship with her wasn't all he was told it would be.
As Griff and Molly started mending fences in their relationship, Griff repeated a mistake he made in Book 1...he had another secret that he had shared with Molly's brother...but not with her. While he kept thinking she might have some things she was keeping from him, he rarely thought about what HE kept hidden from HER. He eventually told her about the "Reunion" that he had to go back for, and that the producers wanted Molly to put in an appearance as well.
Molly agreed to attend the Reunion episode, although her brother tried to talk her out of it. She thought she was prepared for it, as did Griff, but things didn't go as smoothly as he'd hoped, and his final secret was revealed on camera. He had been challenged by another man to a fight in Las Vegas.
While this book had a lot of angst, drama, and spiciness, it was overly long and full of info dumping and manipulation. The emotional rollercoaster was full of the usual twists and turns, with a few added dives that caused one to lose their stomach.
Both main characters were fully developed and mature, but the MMC had quite a few issues that needed to be addressed that the author overlooked. He was an absolute control freak who had no problem running roughshod over the FMC at any given time. He always ended up having his way, even when Molly was upfront with how she did or did not like something.
The secondary characters were pretty cool to read about, even though most of them already had their own book in the Lost Kings MC series. Still others were going to get their stories written in the future.
I did decide to give this book a four-star rating instead of the five I gave its predecessor, mainly because it had so much information dumped into it that it was too long. The story could easily have ended thirty chapters sooner than it did, but the author dragged it out, unnecessarily IMHO, causing it to become stilted and a bit boring by the ending...which in and of itself was a disappointment. However, because I included the first book of the duet in my Keeper for the Shelves collection, I chose to add this one as well.
