Protecting Paul by Joy Danvers
A Sexy Ex-Military Deputy Sheriff Wants to Protect Me But Is He a Danger to My Heart?
Sam was a walking wet dream in high school and he’s only gotten better with age. I had the biggest crush on him, and he was my first (and best) kiss. Too bad he lives in Shafter Falls.
No one from that town tried to help when I was getting beat up for being myself, and I’m not expecting anything good now that I have to go back and settle my dad’s estate. Right away I have to deal with my hateful, violent uncle. Guess this town hasn’t changed.
But Sam is out of the military now and he’s a deputy sheriff who keeps asking to protect me. I can’t stop thinking about how good that would feel. Can I let him help without getting my heart broken?

I'm not impressed. It's not bad. It's just your typical cheesy romance but MM. Surprisingly little sex and unsurprisingly the big strong police officer has to fix every problem (after everything went in the drain). 😒😒 I wish the bottom was a little more manly and the top to be a little more useful. You can swap Paul with a woman character and absolutely nothing would change. For MM book is very disappointing, how pathetic Paul's character is. And for Sam's character, you can call the police and they'll do absolutely the same as he did. You'd expect that a police officer who's inlove and protecting his loved one, would take all safety measures from early on, but no - bro waited for every possible sh*t to happen and than went to save his guy. But anyways, it's quick read. Like those Harlequin cheesy novels. If you're into that - you'll enjoy it.
