Pride by Mel Dixon
Meeting Pry was like every other manager Alec had known. Arrogant and headstrong. He knows he’s going to have to keep his head down around him and just get the work in. Pry doesn’t make that easy being the homeowner and the boss at Club Midnight. But he can be professional to keep a roof over his head and food in his belly. If only Pry didn’t insist on being ‘hands on’ about everything.
When Alec arrived for the interview, Pry was sure it must have been a joke. He’s just a human and he shouldn’t even have been able to read the flyer. He knows nothing about the supernatural world. Normally, Pry would have enticed his soul from him and sent Alec on his way. But there was something about him. Something that Pry can’t let go of. And the more time he spends in the club, the more Pry wants to keep Alec close.
One day soon, he will have Alec’s soul. But for now it’s taking all his energy to keep him in the dark. Just cause it’d be too much bother to train a new human. Right?
