My Stalker, My Protector, a part of the More than a Crush series, was about 18-year-old Scout Snyder, a freshman in college, and 22-year-old Cash Jenner, a Senior in college...and her brother's BFF. What more to say than...WOW. I don't think any of the other stalker books I've read have ever come close to being this...wild. This. Eff'd up. This dark. This demented. This twisted. When Cash's BFF brought his little sister to his apartment for protection from her "stalker", things went from the light side straight into the demented darkness of...whatever this was. Did I enjoy it? Oddly enough, yes and no. It was wild reading how Jessa Kane used one man's obsession and put it into such moving terms. At the same time, it was just as unacceptable in that the reader KNEW that at some point in this couple's relationship, the MMC would end her once and for all. Yes, he was that demented. But how does a reader rate such a story? That, in and of itself, was a conundrum. Sure, it was a good story. A thriller worthy of movie status. But at the same time, it was shocking, dark, and just so creepy that it boggled the mind of this reader. I guess the only way to really rate this story would be to give it a four-star rating. I'd give it five, but I would have rather seen a somewhat different ending than it had. But that wasn't my choice since I wasn't the author. Anyway, I will be finding something a little more...vanilla (snicker)...to read to get this washed from my brain.

My avoid pyschos survival instinct and my fear of commitment kept going off while reading this but for the genre it is, it was a fun read and was pleased they don't plan to breed.
