Mr. Serious by Elisa Leigh
Reagan Brighton is ready for summer break. She loves teaching, but it’s been one hell of a school year and she’s ready to grab a bottle of wine, roll up her sleeves, and tackle the fixer-upper she bought and make it a home. Fixing things isn’t new to her, she’s been doing it ever since she was a girl and had to piece her family back together after the unthinkable. What she isn’t expecting is to meet a man who throws a two-by-four into those plans and turns her world upside down.
Christian Stone has worked his ass off helping to grow the family business into what it is today, making everyone a lot of money in the process. Money is great, but it hasn’t left a lot of time for fun or the one thing everyone’s hoping to find. His brothers set out to change that with surprising success. In the course of one night, he meets the woman of his dreams. Picturing their life together to only have her dash them to pieces. Christian didn’t get where he is today on dumb luck, no, he goes after what he wants.
Will Christian prove to Reagan a life together is worth fighting for? Will Reagan push past her insecurities to let love in?

Just an FYI: When trying to read this story here on Epub, you will NOT get the full story. This version ends at Chapter 3 with an epilogue, but the Kindle Unlimited version has 7 chapters and an epilogue...the full story.
Mr. Serious, a book in the More Than Money series, was about 38-year-old Christian "C.J." Stone, the son of the owners of Stone Lumber, and 26-year-old Reagan Brighton, a third-grade teacher at the local elementary school. (This story should also be read before Deck Her Halls and Tempting Her Curves as they are all interconnected.) At first when C.J.'s brother, Cohen invited him out for a drink with the rest of their brothers (there were five brothers total, including C.J.), he told him he was too busy with work. But when his brother said that their mother had mentioned something earlier about being tired of waiting for one of her five sons to make her a grandmother and was getting ready to start setting each one of them up with women, he decided to go. As they entered the bar, C.J. realized it was karaoke night and was not impressed...until Reagan got on stage and did her song. He was captivated and knew she was it for him. He hadn't expected his four brothers to set him up to do a duet with her. Two days after meeting each other, Reagan showed up at the Stone Lumber yard to place a materials order for building a deck. C.J. made the delivery himself and offered to assist her. After several hours of labor, Reagan invited him to dinner. While this was a good story, it felt so rushed and incomplete that it was a disappointment. There was too little background information on the story/characters, and the author had the habit of starting one plotline and then not finishing it. She introduced possible characters but never added them. Then she would begin the relationship and skip ahead several weeks and/or months without giving anything in between. It was just sad, to be honest. I wanted to READ about the angst and drama. I wanted to experience it with the character, not be presented with the final results, and oh, let's move on to the next unfinishable phase. Both of the main characters were mature and fully developed, but the author didn't allow the reader to see any growth in either of them. They were together one minute but turned the page, a new chapter, and they were broken up...but there was nothing ON PAGE to show what happened. It was so disappointing I couldn't give it more than a two-star rating.
The story is getting more interesting but abruptly cut.
Tried downloading the epilogue but was unsuccessful. Where can I read the epilogue?
It started good then just ended. It was way to short.
