Yeah, the claiming ceremony or whatever it was called was barbaric and uncivilized. What the hell is wrong with this author? Think of it like fighting a brutal rapist, like for real. Sometimes authors do ruin their story with a scene or fact that turns it into something awful. Sad, really. But, yeah, this author definitely has a fetish for rape to think it's okay to write something so stupidly absurd. Not healthy in the slightest. Physically attacking and harming, even breaking your mates bones, for a bonding type of ceremony is not something that anyone should like or think is okay. This is my warning to readers, don't bother. Unless you skip that part.
