No. The story had potentials, but need a writer with skills, and I see no skills here.
The ending is a complete one 180 and so insanely out of place with the rest of the story. The FMC thought process during the incredibly short and very rushed wrap up in the epilogue doesn’t even make any sense. It’s like the author planned to do a part three and then ran out of time and wrote up a 4 page sunshine and rainbows happy ending instead? Super disappointed with the end after actually enjoying the rest of the story.
It was a really good read, the darkness was little but good enough and Malachi is a sweetie at so many times I just wanted to give him a hug. It kept me hooked even tho this wasn't a 5☆ for me I really enjoyed it (gave it 4☆)
I enjoyed it. The first half of the book was better in my opinion, not really dark but the whole forbidden romance and sneaking around was fun to read. I like the creepy, mysterious vibes that Malachi gives off. The end of part one in the book is where it gets real, and part 2 is kinda crazy which is what us dark romance readers are looking for (although it was kinda short imo). HOWEVER, the second half of the book also just seemed super rushed... it was like an ending to a fluffy romance when the rest of the book isn't like that at all..no twist or shock factor ending and pretty abrupt. It kind of ruined it for me and it definitely wasn't as dark as I was expecting... but for me it was an enjoyable quick read. :)
I'm sorry to disagree with the other comments, but that story doesn't seem erotic to me but rather a story written by a schoolgirl and not a professional writer. The apparent purpose of accumulating the maximum number of horrors throughout such a short book is "counterproductive" for a normal libido and seems like a Halloween porno-story. Until the scene of the confrontation with the father, when the MMC threw him down the stairs without missing a beat fucking his "quasi-sister", the narrative still tried to maintain the traits of credibility...and then...only downhill. ..until an absurd ending, which includes the blessing granted by the same attacked father, now disabled, to his brainless adopted daughter and the aggressor MMC... Any story of a horned alien slaver and zebra stripes seems to me more realistic and terrifying than the "fable" of Little Stranger.
Happy or sad ending? 🐸
The writer has skill I never got confused although the mmc was mute but disturbed done.
Well, it was good but the last chapters became a little heavy, and I know it's a spicy novel, and lemons and all that, but I liked the actions so much that I wished they were more than the spicy parts... The ending is weird... too rainbow for everything else gray ....I would love to read the two f/m lead in another novel with the same darkness.
Mediocre obsessive love story. Not badly written but i found it hard to stay interested to the finish. Ending was sort of abrupt.
