I truly wanted to like this series and I wanted to read all 12 books, but the degrading and the humiliation of Novalee has gotten to me. I have read 7 books and all 7 men have treated her like she is the scum of the earth and she has 5 more to go. Come on Gemma which women do you know who could survive something like this without checking out mentally. Your books are fucked up man.

I began this series with a marathon read. I was able to get through the first 6 books and then had to wait for Libra, book 7. This is what I hate about an ongoing series. The expanse of time before the next book. Now, I feel I need to go back to the beginning in order to refresh my memory of each House. F that... If I wasn't engrossed in the series so far I'd just stop here.

In Libra, I really didn't like Novalee. I thought she was very self-absorbed. She toyed with Liam, giving him hope only to push him away. She was just a whiny bitch in my opinion. She had the chance to leave behind her dreadful experience with the offer Liam gives her but....no... She wants to return to the Brotherhood.

Once she's back with Pax, I almost thought she deserved his wrath but I'm not quite so apathetic. After all, Pax was a demon from hell. No one deserved to be at his mercy.

So, I'm giving Libra 5 stars mainly because of Liam. I love this man. I want him to end up with Novalee even though she doesn't deserve him. At least presently. Hopefully she will change her ways and become worthy of him.
