Our lives change in the blink of an eye. And no matter how hard you try, you can never go back to the way it used to be. You have to accept, adapt, and move on. Though, that’s considerably easier said than done, even when you know you did the right thing. The brothers and sisters of the GGMC don’t have time for regret and as a dedicated prospect, neither do I. Death is inevitable, it comes for each of us when our time is up. However, when a beautiful heart shaped face catches my attention across the room, I admit that perhaps those we love don’t leave us completely, but continue to guide us to our destiny from the great beyond.

Doing the right thing…sucks. I’m a teacher, I should know a better, more eloquent word to use, but “sucks” is the best I’ve got right now. Maybe sucktastic. Sucky. Suckalicious. And it hurts, especially when doing the right thing comes with two bullet wounds and an extended hospital stay. My life is turned upside down and inside out and I have no idea how to right it. Amidst all the chaos that swirls in my mind, piercing blue eyes penetrate the fog and though it takes me a little bit, I realize I’m right where I’m supposed to be.
