Mila Kingston is furious with her stepbrother for missing her high school graduation. And her beauty school graduation. And her almost wedding, but that’s another story. Former special ops Rock Hefner is tasked with creating a forensics team at Lonestar Security. Despite Mila’s lack of experience, he’s so impressed by her sample portfolio that he arm-twists her stepbrother into hiring her. During her first few days on the job, she’s the victim of a seemingly random string of accidents, propelling him to take another look at her sample sketches.
