The author has all the rights and freedom to include dub-non-con and other dark tropes in her works, after all it is presumed to be about the world of gangsters. I, for my part and as a reader, have every right to express my opinion about the quality of this book and it seems to me that the story is told in a ridiculous and adolescent way. The tropes are there, as are the murders, torture, sex trafficking, etc., but they do nothing to generate the atmosphere and effects of a dark romance; both protagonists act like brainiacs who deserve each other; The narrative gallops to the rhythm of Tom and Jerry cartoons, in addition to the same humorous style of Christmas jeangles, and not even the scenes of non-consensual sex or somnophilia justify spending too much time reading it. I don't know if the author is simply mediocre and lacking in talent or if she is a person of high school age and naturally very immature.

EM Green, it's funny that you say how bad this novel is, but if you had gone to the original source then you would have had a trigger and trope warning section. You can easily read this on Kindle Unlimited for free with your subscription also.
