sigh //DNF// this is probably the last and final book I'll ever read by Sadie I'm ngl.

The number 1 problem I have with ALL her books is the annoying in-your-face sexualization of her characters from the jump and using sex (so much sex😭) as padding in damn near EVERY single page/chapter to open or close off a scene to mask shitty writing. It really dilutes story quality because the fmc could have an emotional breakdown on X page and 2 pages later she's having sex and the emotional peak we just read just fucking drops because WHYYYY????

It's really a pattern in her books because look, I get it, we all love "spice" and smut but girl atp you must think dangling dick, balls and tits in faces over and over and over will make us forget how stale and garbage this book is💀 I love romance and I LOVE fantasy and when I saw this upload I was excited because I thought "yay maybe this sub-genre will make her write better" but nah it's just a copy and paste of her regular b.s presented as "rOmaNtasY" because WHERE'S THE WORLD BUILDING? POWER SYSTEMS, DEFINITIVE POWERSCALING?, the otherworldly geography? The looming overpowered threat? the magical animals? weapon wielding? cool names? Cool, majestic animals? AND where's my slowburn? the yearning? the denying of emotions between MCs? AND WHERE'S MY ANGST???

...nary to be found, but at least we got centuries old yet emotionally immature vampires harassing a pathetic, weepy 19 year old girl...BOOOOO 🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅😭😭😭
