The world is a hollow place, without my late husband, where darkness threatens to drown me. My medication doesn’t help. I still see things…hear things. Everything in Dublin reminds me of him. Moving to my granda’s house at the edge of the Donegal Woods was suppose to be a change of scenery. But what if a change was all the darkness needed to consume me?

I can smell her despair and sorrow from miles away. She smells so delicious…so pathetic. I have to claim her soul and make her mine. I’ll hunt her to the ends of the earth by whatever means necessary. I am the Sluagh…The Hunt…the darkness. A fate worse than death. You can run, my Wild One, but know that I’ll catch you.
