By Sin I Rise, Part One by Cora Reilly
Maddox – Mad Dog – White hates everything the name Vitiello stands for, after he witnessed his father and his men getting butchered by the Capo of the Italian mob in their territory. Raised by his uncle, the president of the Tartarus MC, Maddox is destined to follow in his footsteps. Now their chapter is on the rise again, but for their ultimate triumph they need to destroy the Vitiello empire. And what better way to do it than to steal the spoilt Vitiello princess and break her piece by piece until her father begs for mercy.
Known as the spoilt princess of New York, Marcella Vitiello grew up in a golden cage. If your father is the most feared man in New York, people gift you with reverence.
Destined to marry the boyfriend approved by her father, Marcella is sick of being treated like an untouchable porcelain doll.
She resents the life forced upon her by her family until everything she took for granted is ripped from her. Where she’s now, her name doesn’t bring awe, only pain and humiliation.
If you’ve grown up in a high castle, the fall is all the deeper. Sins of the fathers have a way of catching up, who’s going to bleed for them?

@leonora Armas I think the book is perfectly fine if you didn’t like kindly go write yours coz you spoiling for others reader
Marcella and Maddox love story is soo different compare to other book which Cora wrote and I like the way author brought up this story with Marcella being sooo strong like her dad but I didn't like the way Marcella thought she could mold Maddox into something he is not. Maddox love for marcel is beyond and he give up everything he had for her but still she doubt her love for him just because he doesn't want to be a dog on leash how can marcel think she could just make maddox forget mc and live with her happily by her side. I wish the next part will give Marcella a little brain

I'm still waiting for the "Mad Dog" to finally arrive, bc Maddox is a whiny puppy at best. Jesus, Cora has never written such a weak ass hero as this one. Even Danilo, from Fragile Longings, wasn't this boring. No one listens to him, no one fears him, we are supposed to believe that he is a dangerous man but he never proves he is. Quite the opposite. Also, every time he thinks about Luca, we are supposed to feel his hatred towards the Capo, but it's always something flattering, always talking about how incredible and ruthless Luca is. Give me a fucking break. Marcella is supposed to be different from her others heroines but, to me, she was flat and boring. Her thinking about seducing a man so he can help her escape fail bc she got scared when the guy decided he wanted to fuck her. Like, girl what did you expected? Did you actually think the guy would betray his club just for a smile? The romance between the protagonists felt rushed and the chemistry was little. Maddox changing his mind about the revenge was expected and yet I was disappointed and bored. There is no need to split this into to two books, unless she plans something completely new to continue on the next one. And I doubt that she will make it. For anyone who was worried that this would be like Remo/Serafina, it isn't. Remo is actually fucking scary and was playing mind games with Serafina the entire time, Maddox is a huge waste of time with no power and no actual "Mad Dog" actions.
so true ....I think cora wrote this book in rush . it is so boring and the Maddox is not so very ruthless as presented in the blurb . Did not enjoyed the book at all . would rate this book 0.5 in comparison to twisted pride that was her best book loved every single scene of that book.
Remo and Fina are my favorite. Twisted Pride is my favorite Cora's book. In this book Amo will be man whore like Savio. I am afraid for Greta. I wish it can at least try to compete with TP. But 🙄
Emm... Okay...🙄
Wow what a way to ruin the book☹️😶
