23 years old already brutal mafia... and 18 years old bride...

I was wondering why this book is highly rated? Sorry, i read of the comments elsewhere saying how this book is just Luca trying to bed Aria, and its true😁

Published in 2014, about 10 years ago, perhaps now readers expect more than this... 😁

Ermm... Lily and Romeo's story ended just like that? They are not being hunted by her father's side 🤭 there must be something we are all missing Comparing between Val and Dante story, im not sure which is better, definately better than Luca's story 🤣🤣🤣

BOUND BY TEMPTATION – 5/5

This is THE BEST book in the entire series, beating even Gianna and Matteo’s in my personal opinion. Romero is, at least in this world, the fucking prince charming. He is so respectful, kind and gentle towards Lilianna, he never forces her to do anything and he has incredible impulse control as compared to the other three men (especially Luca). The fact that Lilianna wanted this man and vice versa is enough for me to declare them OTP of the series. Lilianna was willing to do anything to have this man, which other FMC in this universe wants to do that?? Lilianna is a sweetheart as well. She endured so much and it was lovely seeing her transform from being a flirty teen to a mature young adult.

There’s just something I love about a man that thinks that the woman is too out of his league and is very insecure about it… only to find out the woman is crazy for him no matter what type of man he is. It creates a very wholesome yet also forbidden story that I absolutely adore. Lilliana literally does not give a shit about the fact that Romero is just some soldier and doesn’t make a lot of money, she loves this man regardless of his material wealth or his social status. That is SO wholesome!!!! I loved this book so fucking much and I can’t recommend it enough.

Also, the song “The Way I Are” by Timbaland PERFECTLY encapsulates Romero and Lillianna’s relationship. Every time I listen to this song I get reminded of them and if you listen to it I’m sure you’ll agree with me!

    BOUND BY HATRED – 4/5

Look, I know a lot of people dislike Gianna and her stubbornness, but I don’t completely despise her. I honestly have a lot of respect for her for being able to stand up for herself against some Made men despite fully knowing that they are fighters and know how to use weapons (though this can also be seen as stupidity). She DOES NOT want to be forced to do anything she doesn’t want and that’s really admirable especially when you take into consideration the type of world she grew in. I can understand why people see her as annoying though honestly, I personally don’t mind her that much mostly because I see myself in her.

That being said, I absolutely hated the bit where she ran away because it was not enjoyable to read more than anything. Yeah, she was being selfish but I can’t blame her for that.

Moving onto Matteo. Oh my fucking god, I LOVE MATTEO WITH A PASSION. He is so hot, funny and bat shit insane that I immediately fell in love. His determination to have her made me head over heels crazy for this man. I absolutely loved seeing his POV’s. Oh my lordy lord the smut scenes were so good with this man, honestly no clue how Gianna didn’t immediately fall in love with him lmfao(im just joking for the record). He is such a good man and isn’t a complete loser like his older brother Luca.

Anyways stan Matteo for clear skin !!!

      BOUND BY DUTY – 3.75/5

This book is normal and average to its core. Well, as normal as a mafia story can be. There’s nothing too extraordinary that happens but it’s not boring either. I was not at all at the edge of my seat when I read this book but I still had fun reading it. Dante and Valentina are both likeable enough characters, their chemistry is okay, and their backstory is what makes them somewhat more interesting and in-depth characters.

I especially liked Valentina’s determination to work, I think that’s quite admirable considering the world she grew in. She’s adamant on not being a trophy wife and I love that for her. She takes on the role of being a good housewife while also being an incredible working woman and that’s honestly an incredible skill that I wish I could also have.

Dante is also a good enough man. I liked Dante as well, though it did take a while for me to actually admit that. I loved how he said (something along the lines of) “fear is no place in a marriage” and I respect him a lot for saying that. He seems like a good guy at least for Valentina.

Other than that, I did not like the whole bit with Valentina and her ex-husband, I think that was kinda anti-climactic and extremely unnecessary. It didn’t add anything to the world other than killing Raffaelo I suppose.

[ contains spoilers ] BOUND BY HONOR – 1/5 I have a lot to say about Aria and Luca’s story, mostly negative. First of all, my god did this book make me uncomfortable. The fact that they forced her into marriage when she was only 15 and the fact that Luca didn’t seem to give a shit about it was disgusting, to say the least. Then, of course, we have Raffaelo, who makes me uncomfortable every time he shows up. The fact that he so confidently said that he’d r/pe Aria?? What?? Honestly, the reaction Luca gave was extremely tame and I would have done much worse than just cut a finger off. After that, there's a scene where Luca is telling Aria about how his mother was r/ped and abused by his father and ended up killing herself, but Aria had literally no sympathy for the mother like at all.

The whole entire book is spent fantasizing Aria’s virginity and “purity” and it disgusted me to my core. Every time any male character enters a fucking room with her, they go hook line and sinker. They see her as one of the most exotic female’s on the planet and she’s described as if she’s Aphrodite sent from the heavens only for you to find out that she’s a generic looking white girl with blonde hair. As if a thousand of those don’t exist lmfao

Of course, I can’t not address the fact that Luca cheated on her 2 days after their marriage. Like bro seriously was like “I can’t wait this long” when its been 2 days?? Also the fact that the author tries SO HARD to paint Luca in a positive light for doing this. And she also tried very hard to make it seem like Grace and Cosima are the epitome of evil. Both Aria and Luca despise them for “making Luca cheat and helping Aria discover that”. In what world is the author living in where a woman exposing a cheater is seen as the villain??

There’s a lot of other things wrong with the book as well that I’ll just list down; Luca giving Aria birth control, Aria’s father, Bloody sheets tradition, Aria is extremely stupid which makes it so funny when she says in “Bound by Love” that she could have gone to an Ivy league college (which she most definitely wouldn’t have), Luca is an all-around Loser who should kill himself honestly.

The only reason I gave it a one is because this book introduces me to one of my favorite characters from the series; Matteo and Fabiano. That’s it. That’s all I liked about it.

I found the book about Matteo and Gianna the most hateful because of the girl's personality. I think the age of 18 is quite unpleasant, as it is common for both genders🧐🤓😉 I also understand that the author wanted to create a female character different from her submissive older sister, Aria. But the result seemed the opposite to me: Gianna acts inconsiderate and stupid, far beyond pride and dignity. On the one hand, she claims to be loyal to her older sister and to be able to die for her, but... She didn't mind using Aria to escape and think about doing the same thing again, she was barely caught and was brought back to Chicago. Had she at any point considered the punishment that could befall Aria for providing the documents and money required for the escape? Gianna always referred to Luca as a monster, and yet she didn't care what this monster could make out of her sister for collaborating with the escape. It's one thing to be fearless and rebellious, and another thing to be a loose-mouthed person who spills other people's secrets, like Gianna did when she betrayed Aria´s trust about the false defloration on her wedding night😖😣 Gianna ignores whatever her older sister's suggestions are, despite all the proclamations of filial love and trust that Gianna claims to have for Aria, for example, about Gianna´s virginity. In the end, her few only motivations for running away from Matteo were that...she felt that she desired him after their first kiss..., that the man did not ask her hand directly, but acted through her father, as if this were such a surprise or novelty for someone raised in the mafia...😏 If Gianna were so worthy, she could very well prove her worth without handing over her sister as a hostage to the families involved, both in Chicago and New York. The worthy and courageous do not abuse others, solving their challenges or failing along the way and assuming the cost. In my opinion, Gianna's personality is unpleasant, haughty and impulsive. In each of the scenes involving Gianna, she always acted exclusively guided by her personal interest, she never granted anything to anyone voluntarily, she always used everyone in her environment only for her own benefit. Dignity and pride have nothing to do with a mouth that is too big and loud, they are traits that I abhor, both in real life and in a fictional story.

Ginna's story is the hardest one to read through, the others were pretty solid for mafia romances

Pass. Cheating is not to be tolerated or forgiven. There's no excuse. Man or woman.

Luca would’ve killed any man who so much as touched her but then goes around and cheats behind her back 2 days after their marriage. Such bullsh*t. He wasn’t even drunk or anything, and his reasoning was that he couldn’t wait for her so he looked for another woman. Then he said sorry and wanted to work on their marriage but when he heard that Aria might make him wait long he couldn’t guarantee that he wouldn’t cheat again. Sorry that just sounds like an excuse to me. Cheating is a choice and I just can’t stand it😒. I really did try to continue reading after that but quickly lost interest.

Pragmatic Ebooks I dont know if you have read the whole book because it seems like you haven't because if you did then you would know why they married each other this wasn't a lovey dovey romance it is arranged marriage and not to mention mafia they both were not given a choice.I have never ever said that i am for cheating and if u have read the book you would know why it happened .when have i ever said to turn a blind eye to this i am mad at him about this but still he is my favourite character of all time wanna know why its because i continued to read the book so that i can see his character development don't expect him to be a good man because this is a mafia romance but you can see how much he loves his wife and proves himself worthy of her.As for Aria she is a amazing character trust me when i say that just because a woman isnt badass she isnt strong she has an inner strength that is unparalled. They are a beautiful couple because they work through their problems and come out strong aria choose to forgive him for that .Forgiving someone for that has nothing to do with their race or colour it always depends on your love and if you think that person is worthy for ur forgiveness. This was Arias decision to forgive him and trust me he has also forgiven her for different reasons (once u read the book u will understand) .I have never said to turn a blind eye to cheating but there are couple who work through it like i said it depends on a person whether they want to stay with each other or not.And maybe you should read what i wrote which was just one line and not create a whole narrative which is a complete lie.Its ur choice whether you want to accept the story or not bust bashing me for liking it is not acceptable because then u shouldnt read mafia romances because it "overlooks" a lot of things.

You advocate and overlook cheating? I wouldn't take your recommendations serious. No woman needs a man that badly that she would accept or tolerate a man who could not wait for her. Two days? What happens when they have a child together and he has to wait six weeks? You say, "turn a blind eye?" You can't be a Black woman. We don't accept half a man is better than no man. It's not about pride, but self-respect and understanding our value, despite public opinion. This is why non-black women are so "popular". They accept anything, just to say they've got a man. Enjoy.
