He’s after revenge. She’s collateral damage.
I’m Noah Carter, and this is my confession.
My story is one of vengeance that twisted into a love I never saw coming. My target? Baron Hunt, the man whose ruthlessness shattered my family.
The plan was simple: seduce his daughter Stella to force her father’s hand, making him pay for his past transgressions. She became an unwitting pawn in a game of retribution that was supposed to end with my victory.
Instead, I realized that the heart doesn’t follow the rules of revenge.
A plan to topple an enemy transformed into a fight for my own survival.
Stella, betrayed and heartbroken by my deception, became the mirror reflecting the cost of my vendetta—reminding me that in the quest for justice, I had lost sight of who I was.

NO, Noah is just an unredeemable character, selfish, cruel, awful..I finished it and still don’tbelieve in his "love" for her. Stella however was a good character, after everything she went through she desrved better than this horrible hero

Almost all her books follow the same patter, MC does everything in their part to take dignity and self respect of the FC and yet, without much realization or grovel they are taken back. These books are becoming my rage bait..

I have to agree. I reread it and Noah is just... he doesn't love her.

Noah is one of the worst heros I have ever read, and she was a fool all along, I am done with this author, too bad the premise was good, the characters are complete failures

Stella has every bit of my sympathy. Noah , the fucktard did not deserve her after the horrible things he did. But the story was fine i guess, the heart wants what it wants

How does Maya do it? I loved this book. I only wish the ending was different (I think Stella deserves all the happiness and dreams she wants).

I reread it and changed my mind. You don't knowingly record and SHOW a sextape to someone's father if you love them. She TOLD Noah she loved him that night and he STILL did it. And I didn't see him suffering. I would rather the sex tape not come out because it felt like that forced Stella to be with him. Plus, how did Baron Hunt get the recording? Poor Stella is literally ground into nothing (I did love Stella, she deserves better) and Noah just... gets forgiven.
