I don’t remember who I am or how I got here.
But the alpha beast who torments me says I’m his.
Maybe I am.
Except the voice in the dark tells me I don’t belong here. That I should reject that monster.
It’s a voice that gives me hope that lingers long after he’s gone.
Enough hope to fight the hunger and the fear and keep clinging to the rage that’s keeping me alive.
So, I fight for my life for as long as I can. I fight until he comes back.
Just as I knew he would.
My guardian angel who promised to save me.
Who’ll wipe away the nightmares and bring the light back to my world.
