“Don’t make me care for you, Verity. Once I do, there’s no turning back.”

Lady Verity Sinclair has vowed never to marry after a devastating betrayal. But when she finds herself drawn to the reclusive Lord Philip Easton, a widower with a shattered heart, her resolve begins to falter.
Haunted by the loss of his wife, Philip offers Verity a safe, emotionless arrangement—marriage in name only. But as their passion simmers beneath the surface, both must confront the truth: risking their hearts might be the only way to heal.
Will they risk everything for a love that could save them both? Or will fear keep them apart forever?

The hero is so spineless and the heroine so weak-willed, that it takes a miracle for the author to get them married- not at all convincing.

It could have been so much better, some karma for the betrayal would have been nice
